Blue PVC heat shrink tubing for wrapping finished lithium battery packs. Supplied as continuous lay-flat tubing so you can cut it to whatever length your pack needs.

What it fits

Suited to small 18650 packs, including two-cell-wide series blocks such as 5S2P power tool packs. Measure the widest cross-section of your assembled pack and choose a flat width that gives a little slack before shrinking.

How to use

1. Finish the pack, including the BMS, balance leads, and any insulation over the welds.
2. Cut a length of tubing slightly longer than the pack so the film overhangs both ends.
3. Slide the pack inside and centre it.
4. Apply heat evenly with a heat gun, working from the middle outward so air can escape.

Cut openings for connectors and leads before shrinking, not after.

Notes

Heat shrink is the outer insulation layer of a pack, not a structural component. Cells should already be held by holders or adhesive, and welds should be insulated with fish paper or Kapton before wrapping.
