Welcome to RenewSpark. By accessing or using our website (renewspark.com) or purchasing our products, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. General

  • These Terms apply to all visitors, customers, and users of RenewSpark.
  • By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have the consent of a legal guardian.
  • We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice.

2. Products

  • RenewSpark sells parts and components for building and refreshing lithium-ion battery packs: cells, BMS boards, rebuild kits, nickel and copper strip, insulation, connectors, and electric scooter parts.
  • We do not build, rebuild, or repair battery packs, and we do not accept customer batteries by mail. All assembly is performed by the customer.
  • Rebuild kits are supplied without cells unless the product page states otherwise.
  • Product guides, blog articles, and specifications on this site are provided for general information. You are responsible for confirming that a part suits your specific application before purchase and before assembly.

3. Assembly & Assumption of Risk

  • Building lithium-ion battery packs carries real risk of short circuit, fire, venting, and serious injury. You assume full responsibility for the safe assembly, testing, use, charging, storage, and disposal of any pack you build.
  • You are responsible for fitting protection appropriate to your build, including a correctly rated BMS, and for using a charger matched to your pack’s voltage and chemistry.
  • RenewSpark warrants the parts it supplies. RenewSpark does not warrant, and is not liable for, packs assembled by the customer or by any third party.

4. Pricing & Payments

  • All prices are listed in U.S. dollars (USD) and are subject to change without notice.
  • We accept payments through the secure gateways provided at checkout.

5. Shipping & Delivery

  • Shipping terms are outlined in our Shipping & Delivery policy.
  • Lithium-ion cells ship by ground service only, in line with carrier regulations.
  • We currently ship within the United States only.

6. Returns & Refunds

  • Our return and refund terms are outlined in our Returns & Refund Policy.
  • Cells and electronic components cannot be returned once welded, soldered, or installed into a pack. Nickel and copper cut from a roll cannot be returned.

7. Warranties & Disclaimers

  • Warranty coverage by product type is set out on our Warranty page.
  • Warranty does not cover misuse, incorrect wiring, reverse polarity, exceeding a component’s rated current, water or physical damage, or improper charging.
  • Normal capacity loss over time and charge cycles is expected with all lithium-ion cells and is not a defect.
  • All components must be used within their stated specifications. RenewSpark is not liable for damage caused by improper use or by assembly errors.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • RenewSpark is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products, including damage to tools, chargers, vehicles, or other equipment.
  • Our maximum liability is limited to the purchase price paid for the item.

9. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
