Returns & Refund Policy
Thank you for choosing RenewSpark. We want you to be confident in every purchase and service. This policy explains how returns, exchanges, and refunds work for new packs, rebuilt/refurbished packs, and our rebuild service, as well as our Send-In & Trade-In Program.
Return Eligibility & Windows
- New & Rebuilt/Refurbished Battery Packs (sold by RenewSpark): Returnable within 30 days of delivery if unused, in original packaging, and in resellable condition.
- Accessories/Parts: Returnable within 30 days if unused and in original packaging.
- Rebuild Service (your pack rebuilt): This is a custom service and is non-refundable. Covered instead by our 90-day workmanship warranty.
- Trade-In Credits: Credits issued through the Send-In & Trade-In Program are non-refundable.
Note: For safety and regulatory reasons, used battery packs that show signs of installation, charging cycles, or physical wear may not be eligible for return.
Non-Returnable Items
- Custom rebuild services already performed.
- Packs with physical damage, water ingress, corrosion, or modified wiring/housings.
- Items not returned in original packaging (when applicable) or missing included accessories.
- Clearance/Final sale items and gift cards.
Defective or DOA (Dead on Arrival)
- DOA within 30 days: If your item arrives defective, contact us within 30 days of delivery. Once verified, we will provide a prepaid return label or equivalent credit and arrange a repair, replacement, or refund.
- After 30 days: Defects are handled under our warranty terms (e.g., 12-month limited warranty for new packs; 90-day for rebuilt/refurbished). See our Warranty & Rebuild Guarantee.
How to Start a Return
- Contact us first: Email support@renewspark.com with your order number, description of the issue, and photos/video if applicable.
- Get an RMA: We’ll provide an RMA number and the correct return/inspection address. Please do not ship any lithium battery without an RMA.
- Pack safely (ground shipping only): Cover terminals (tape/caps), place each pack in a plastic bag, cushion well, and ship via UPS/USPS Ground (no air).
Returns sent without an RMA may be refused for safety/compliance reasons.
Refunds
- Once your return is received and inspected, approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.
- Original outbound shipping is non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or verified DOA.
- Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless otherwise approved (e.g., verified DOA within 30 days).
Exchanges
In many cases we can offer an exchange (e.g., replace a DOA unit) or convert a return into store credit for faster re-ordering.
Send-In & Trade-In Program
- Only lithium-ion power tool and e-bike/e-scooter battery packs are eligible for trade-in credit.
- Non-lithium chemistries (NiCd, NiMH, lead-acid) or unsafe/proprietary/encrypted packs may be recycled without credit.
- Trade-in credits are non-refundable and may be used toward new packs, rebuilt packs, or our rebuild service.
Safety Notes (Lithium Batteries)
- Ship ground only; never ship lithium batteries by air.
- Cover terminals and protect from movement with adequate cushioning.
- Do not ship swollen, leaking, or physically damaged packs—contact us for guidance first.
