Battery cells are not included. This kit is intended for experienced users who will supply, test, match, install, and connect their own lithium-ion cells.

This is a battery build kit, not an OEM-style rebuild kit. The included housing and internal components are designed to work together as one complete matched set. The internal parts may differ in size, shape, and layout from the components inside an original Makita battery and are not intended as individual replacement parts for an original OEM battery housing.

Battery Capacity

This kit uses a 5S2P configuration. The finished battery capacity will be approximately twice the rated capacity of each individual 18650 cell used.

For example, ten properly matched 3,000mAh cells would create a battery pack with a nominal capacity of approximately 6.0Ah. Ten properly matched 3,500mAh cells would produce approximately 7.0Ah.

Actual capacity, output current, runtime, and performance depend on the cells selected and the quality of the completed assembly.

What Is Included

The kit includes the upper and lower battery housing, internal 10-cell holder, circuit board, conductive metal components, electrical contacts, wiring, spring, screws, insulation material, battery-level indicator components, label, and the other parts shown in the product photos.

Assembly Requirements

This product is intended for experienced users familiar with lithium-ion battery construction, cell testing, cell matching, insulation, polarity, series and parallel connections, BMS wiring, and safe battery assembly.

The buyer is responsible for selecting suitable high-drain 18650 cells with the correct voltage, capacity, discharge rating, chemistry, and specifications for the intended application.

Use only properly tested and closely matched cells. Do not mix cells of different brands, models, capacities, ages, voltage levels, chemistry, or condition.

Important Safety Information

Improper lithium-ion battery assembly can cause fire, personal injury, equipment damage, or property damage. Proper tools, insulation, testing equipment, safety procedures, and battery-building experience are required.

Always verify cell orientation, polarity, wiring, insulation, pack voltage, and output voltage before connecting the completed battery to a tool or charger.
